When you were a kid, did you ever go out and plant some trees? Well, you may have. And you may have not. But for those who has, then you most probably planted seedlings and not really seeds. But you may also have gone and planted seeds for a garden that your mother has. You have probably helped them.

The wonderful thing about planting using seeds is that you marvel at just how something wonderful could grow out of that small little seed. Indeed, it is amazing. And right now, I still find it something really cool to look at and see how it grows.

Anyhow, if you are planning on planting a lawn, you could consider using seeds. The thing about using grass seeds is that it is very inexpensive compared to using grass patches. It will probably take some time compared to buying that grass carpet. However, if you really are trying to save some moolah and are also quite interested in how grass grows from scratch (well, seeds), then you could consider this. Just think of it as an experiment. An adventure.

You definitely will feel real proud once the grass starts growing and you see the lawn that you envisioned coming to life.

If there really is a crabgrass killer and it is on the loose, I would greatly appreciate it. In fact, I would be wishing that it would soon be visiting my place so as to get rid of all the crabgrass which has been sprouting there. I hate seeing my lawn with this weed. In fact, I have been doing a lot about it but I can’t seem to find the best way to deal with it. Often, after all that I have applied and after all the work I put into it, the next thing I know, they are all up again and wreaking havoc as usual.

My friend’s kids do love crabgrass though because they find it to be interesting. They do pluck one every now and then and play with it. But that is where all the benefits of crabgrass end. I really need to find that crabgrass killer and find it fast! See, my lawn is not looking that good anymore and what I am aiming for is to be really the envy of all other lawn owners. So there.

I did my research on crabgrass and because of my plight, I would like to share what I have chanced upon – in case you may be doing some research on this weed yourself. And then maybe we could be sharing thoughts and experience so as to help each other out win the battle against this one.

One of the things that we should all learn about crabgrass though is that it loves the heat so much so that it usually thrives in places that has tropical temperatures or just about warm. Now if you live in a place which makes you wear jackets most of the time, then you are most probably safe from this and you do not need the crabgrass killer.

You may be thinking if you have this weed growing on your lawn or garden. Well, see, this weed is actually a slender one. It grows in clumps and then has this really slender stems going up. It also has this “fingers” growing on top – which the kids love playing with. If you have seen that in your lawn or garden, well, you are looking at crabgrass.

Unless you are actually thinking of using crabgrass as food, then you should get it out of the way. The thing is, this weed is also used for food in some places. The seed of this one is usually harvested and then is toasted. When that is done, the toasted seeds are then ground so as to produce some kind of flour. Now that is used in various types of food including porridge and is also used in making beer. So that beer can you may be holding right now may have that crabgrass you dislike. Eww!

For now, that is what I can share with you regarding this crabgrass. And if you are like me, looking for that wonderful crabgrass killer, hang around. We just may get to the bottom of all the mystery of battling crabgrass.
